How hubs can help

There are six Community Energy Hubs in local venues around Walsall. Each of our Community Energy Hubs can support you with energy efficiency advice and awareness of climate change issues. We can share practical ways you can make positive changes, for you, your family and your community.

There are Energy and Climate Advice Officers (ECAOs) and Community Champion volunteers on hand to help you at each of the hubs.

Through our group sessions, 1-2-1 advice sessions, Energy Cafés and collection of resources you can:

Learn about energy efficiency:

  • save money on your energy bills
  • read and understand your energy bills
  • save money within the home through making lots of small improvements which add up to a bigger overall saving
  • arrange a free Home Energy Advice Visit. We’ll assess your home and recommend improvements or adjustments you can make for a more energy efficient household.
  • access support and advice on offer from other organisations

Be proactive about climate change:

  • understand the impact of climate change
  • take positive steps to help the climate
  • learn how your individual actions can lead to community-level reductions in emissions and carbon footprint
  • play an active part in WEAP. Explore opportunities to become a community champion volunteer or a member of our resident advisory group
  • access a wide range of climate change and energy efficiency knowledge. Explore the ‘Library of Inspiration’ collection of books available in each Hub.
